Diaphragm Walls

Diaphragm walls are underground walls constructed from the ground surface. They are built by excavating a trench and filling it with bentonite slurry. Reinforcement is then placed in the trench, followed by concrete casting, which displaces the slurry.

WORKING PHASES

  1. Formation of guide walls
  2. Excavation
  3. Cleaning of the excavation and removal of the slurry
  4. Placement of reinforcement
  5. Concrete casting

TECHNICAL DATA

  • Diaphragm wall width: from 500 to 1,500 mm
  • Depth: approximately 38 m
